Workshops & Hikes
My workshops cater to all levels of photographers and include classic viewpoints as well as some hidden gems. I'll make sure you're in the best place to take advantage of the light and weather conditions.
Choose a one-to-one workshop (and personalize it to what you'd like to photograph, specific techniques, or how far you want to hike), or join a small group workshop (which is limited to no more than 3 photographers).
I will help you discover new places and improve your photography at the same time. Workshops are relaxed, fun, and based on a series of practical lessons out in the field using your own camera equipment, with you setting the pace to ensure you get the guidance and encouragement you're looking for. Workshops are a great place to refine your photographic skills in terms of technique, composition, and lighting or to work on a new skill that you would like to develop.
Photo hikes are open to any level of photographer - whether you shoot with your phone, a film camera, a DSLR, or a mirrorless camera. Hikes are relaxed and slow-paced, so you can work on specific techniques (using your own camera equipment) while receiving guidance from an experienced landscape photographer.

One-to-One Workshops

Enjoy the magic of a Joshua Tree sunrise. After breakfast, we’ll explore, hike, and photograph some of the fantastic geologic features and diverse range of fauna and flora the park offers.

Day to Sunset Workshop (One-to-One)

Explore Joshua Tree National Park, which has some fantastic geologic features and a diverse range of fauna and flora. Immerse yourself in your photography, practice, and develop new skills.

Dark Sky Workshop (One-to-One)

Explore the park and the night sky in Joshua Tree during this evening workshop. Enjoy learning how to photograph the Milky Way and Star Trails.

Group Workshops

iPhone Photography Workshop (Group)
$195.00 (Duration approx. 3-4 hours)
This field workshop, in the South Wonderland of Rocks (an iconic area in Joshua Tree National Park) covers how to make the best use of light, composition, and camera modes on the iPhone (including the features introduced from iOS 17) to shoot great landscape photographs.

Hikes
$295.00 (Duration approx. 5-6 hours)
On this full-day hike-and-shoot excursion, we’ll explore Echo-T, Barker Dam, and the South Wonderland of Rocks, an iconic area with some of the largest rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park.
This is a great place to refine your photographic skills in terms of technique and composition or to work on a new skill you would like to develop.
